Kamala Beach is one of the "developed" beaches on the western side of Phuket Island. The lovely beach is backed by many resorts, hotels, and shops of every description catering to tourists. In the southwest monsoon season the winds constantly push fairly large waves onto this beach but this August photo shows that people use the beach anyhow.
